Architecture & design firm

Going fully remote: equipping a distributed team to work from anywhere

The problem

An architecture and design firm made the decision to eliminate their physical office entirely and move to a fully remote model. For a company that depends on specialized software, large file transfers, cloud collaboration tools, and creative workflows, just working from home is not as simple as it sounds.

Every employee needed a properly configured workstation delivered to their home, set up and ready to go on day one. New hires joining a company with no office needed to be onboarded remotely, with laptops shipped to their front door and IT access provisioned before they ever met a colleague in person.

What we did

We built and managed a repeatable remote onboarding process for the firm. Each new team member received a pre-configured laptop shipped directly to their home address, complete with access to their Microsoft 365 account, design software, cloud file storage, and collaboration tools. We coordinated shipping, tracked delivery, and walked each person through first login remotely to make sure nothing fell through the cracks.

When the firm added new staff across multiple states, the process worked the same way every time.

The outcome

The company operates without an office and without friction. New employees are productive from their first day regardless of where they live. The firm’s leadership can hire the right people for the work without being constrained by geography.

Why it matters

A remote-first company is only as strong as its IT foundation. We make sure the infrastructure works the same whether your team is in one building or scattered across the country.

Let's make your IT quiet.

One conversation tells you where you stand and what to fix first. No pressure, no jargon.
